AB 833 (Ruskin) – California Toxic Release Inventory Program
This bill requires the Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC) to implement a program that would require a facility to submit a toxic chemical release form to the department, if the facility is not required to submit a toxic chemical release form containing that same information pursuant to the existing federal regulations. This bill will take effect January 1, 2009.

AB 1108 (Ma) – Phthalates in Children’s Products
AB 1108 bans the manufacture, sale or distribution of children’s product, as defined, which contain more than 0.1 ppm of phthalates. This bill will take effect January 1, 2009.
