About DowPAC

DowPAC, also known as The Dow Chemical Company Employees PAC, is a voluntary group of concerned employees and retirees, who through personal contributions to DowPAC, support state and federal candidates, share Dow's position on business issues, and advance public policies that benefit Dow, its employees, retirees, shareholders and customers. Established by Dow in 1978, DowPAC has provided a legal and ethical way for employees and retirees to contribute to worthy candidates. DowPAC is a segregated fund that complies with the Federal Election Campaign Act, as well as, all state and federal election laws and regulations.

Every dollar contributed to DowPAC goes directly to supporting candidates. DowPAC is independent of any political party, candidate or organization, with the exception of Dow, which, as allowed by law, pays all administrative and recruitment costs associated with operating DowPAC. Every DowPAC transaction is reported to the Federal Elections Commission, so it is a very public and highly regulated method of campaign financing. In addition, DowPAC is affiliated with other political action committees that may be sponsored by The Dow Chemical Company for purposes of federal campaign contribution limits.
